Varadero:

  Varadero ist der bekannteste Strand auf Kuba. Er erstreckt sich über 20 km entlang der Halbinsel und ist ein weisser Sandstrand. Varadero gehört zur Provinz Matanzas, Varadero ist der Touristenort auf Kuba und ist ca. 2-3 Autostunden von Havanna entfernt. Zumeist handelt sich bei den Unterkünften um All-Inclusive Hotels. Individual-Touristen sind in der Region eher selten anzutreffen


  The Varadero peninsula ist the most famous beach region of Cuba. White beaches along the shoreline and plenty of hotels make this area to the touristic center no.1 of Cuba for "All-Inclusive"-tourism. You can barely find a cuban there. For individual travellers it is therefore not the first choice.
The distance to Havanna is aproximately 2-3 hours by car.

Guadelavaca:

  Guadelavaca hat einen ca. 3 km langen feinen weissen Sandstrand und liegt in der Provinz Holguin. Das Wasser ist meist flach und ohne Wellengang, der Grund ist steiniger Riffboden. Auch in Guadelavaca gibt es vollkommen touristisch erschlossene Hotelanlagen und casa particulares.

Baracoa:

  In der Umgebung von Baracoa (etwa Richtung Rio Toa) gibt es zahlreiche wilde, naturbelassene Strände, die zumeist nur per PKW (Taxi) oder Fahrrad erreichbar sind.


  In the vicinity of Baracoa (e.g. closed to Rio Toa) are several unexploited wild beaches which can be reached by car (Taxi) or bycicle.

Playa Esmeralda :

  Der Strand Esmeralda liegt westlich von Guadalavaca und ist ein ca. 1 km langer Traumstrand. Er ist umgeben von Korallenriffen und einer zum Schnorcheln einladenen Unterwasserwelt. Es handelt sich um einen weissen Strand mit sehr feinem Sand. Am Strand befinden sich Luxushotels.


The beach is located in the west of Guadalavaca and is approximately 1 km long. The beach is a real travellers dream. It is a white beach with very fine sand. Luxury hotels are located closed to the beach.

Playas del Este:

  Playas del Este ("Strände des Ostens") ist quasi der Stadtstrand von Havanna, sie sind von dort bequem mit Taxi (ca. 20...30 CUC) oder Bus erreichbar. Viele Kubaner trampen auch am Wochenende dorthin. Die Strandabschnitte sind unterteilt in Bacuranao, Megano, Guanabo, Santa Maria und Boca Ciega. Die gesamte Region ist für den Massentourismus nur teilweise erschlossen, so dass man noch den ursprünglichen Flair Kubas spürt. Dieser Eindruck wird auch durch die vielen eineimischen Badegäste verstärkt und alleinreisende Touristen finden schnell Anschluss. Zahlreiche Strandbars bieten Drinks und Essen zu günstigen Preisen.
Der Strand bietet feinen weissen Sand und grün blaues Wasser, welches angenehm temperiert ist und oft eine angenehme Dünung hat. In Guanabo beispielsweise, gibt es auch die Möglichkeit direkt ein Casa Particular oder ein Hotelzimmer zu mieten, so dass die Strände bequem von der Unterkunft zu Fuss erreicht werden können.
Das Wasser ist klar und sauber, der Meeresboden sandig ohne Steine.


  Playas del Este("Beaches of the East") is effectively the city Beach of Havana, they are easily reached by taxi (about 20... 30 CUC) or bus from there. Many Cubans hitching at the weekend there. The beach sections are divided into Bacuranao, Megano, Guanabo, Santa Maria and Boca Ciega. The entire region is only partially developed for the mass tourism so that you can still feel the original ambience of Cuba. This impression is supported by many domestic visitors and singles quickly get in contact with cubans. Many beach bars offer drinks and food at affordable prices. The Beach offers fine white sand and green blue waters, which is pleasantly tempered and often have pleasant waves. Santa Lucia:

  Santa Lucia befindet sich in der Camagüey Provinz in der nördlichen Ostküste Kuba. Santa Lucia steht für seine Ruhe und wunderschöne Strände. Es gibt nur vergleichsweise wenige Hotels in diesem Gebiet, was der der Grund ist, warum dieses Ziel Touristen anzieht, die Erholung fern von den Massen suchen. Es ist eine der billigsten Strand Destinationen in Kuba mit durchschnittlichen Preise der 50 CUC pro Person und Nacht auf all-inclusive-Basis. Es gibt es viele Tauchen Stationen, die in dem Sie auf die Korallenriffe tauchen können.


  Santa Lucia is located in Camagüey province in the northern east coast of Cuba. Santa Lucia stands out for its quietness and beautiful beaches. There are few hotels in the area that is the reason why this destination attracts tourists looking for relaxation away from the crowds. It is one of the cheapest beach destinations in Cuba with average prices of 50 CUC per person per night on all-inclusive basis. There are there many diving stations where you can dive to the coral reefs.

Playa Ancón:

  Playa Ancón liegt einige Autominten von Trinidad an der Südküste. Er wird von Touristen wenig besucht, weil der Tourismus in dieser Gegend auf Trinidad selbst fokussiert ist.


  Playa Ancón can be found some minutes by car of Trinidad on the South coast. The public beach is rarely visited by tourists because tourism in this region is mainly focused on Trinidad itself.

Cayo Coco:

  Cayo Coco ist eine Insel an der Nordküste, verbunden mit der Hauptinsel über einen 17 km langen Damm. Einheimische haben dort keinen Zugang. Die gesamte Insel ist eine Tourismus-Kolonie und verfügt über zahlreiche Traumstrände mit weissem, sehr feinen Sand. Es gibt alle Freizeitmöglichkeiten einer All-Inklusive Hochburg.


  The island Cayo Coco is connected with the northern coast of the main island on a 17 km long Causeway. Cubans do not have access there. The entire island is a tourist colony and has numerous dream beaches with white, very fine sand. All leisure activities of an "all inclusive stronghold" are possible.

Cayo Largo del Sur

  Cayo Largo Del Sur, auch einfach Cayo Largo (dt. „lange Insel“), ist mit 25 km Länge und 3 km Breite die zweitgrößte Insel des kubanischen Canarreos-Archipel im Karibischen Meer, sie liegt an der Südwest-Küste Kubas. Auf Cayo Largo leben keine Einheimischen. Cayo Largo ist 38 qkm groß und hat ca. 27 km Sandstrand. Neben Cayo Largo liegt die Isla de Juventud, die größte Insel des Archipels. Die Flugzeit von Havanna beträgt ca. 1 Stunde. Die Hotels liegen fast alle am Strand. Die Strände sind zu 100% frei zugänglich. Es handelt ich durchweg um feine weisse Sandstrände.

  Cayo Largo del Sur, simply called Cayo Largo (" Long Island"), measures 25 in length and 3 km width and is the second largest island of Cuban Canarreos Archipelago Islands in the Caribbean Sea. The island is located on the southwest coast of Cuba. Cayo Largo is has approximately 27 km sandy beach. Closed to Cayo Largo is located the Isla de la Juventud, the largest island of the archipelago. The Havana flight time is approximately 1 hour. The hotels are almost all on the beach. The beaches are freely accessible to 100 %. The beaches are consistently of fine white sand.

Santiago de Cuba:

  Dieser öffentliche Strand liegt etwas weiter außerhalb von Santiago de Cuba, so dass er nicht stark besucht ist. Der Strand ist naturbelassen. Die Konsequenz ist, das der Sand zwar pulvrig ist, jedoch Äste, Gräser und sonstiger natürlicher Abfall, das Strandvergnügen beeinträchtigen.

  This public beach is located outside of Santiago de Cuba, hence, not very popular. The beach is untouched. Even though the sand is fine-grainy but branches, grasses and other natural waste affect the pleasure.

Siboney:

  Beliebter Strand mit kleinen Schönheitsfehlern, ca. 15 Autominuten von Santiago entfernt. Die fehlenden Palmen werden durch das lebhafte Treiben von Einheimischen, Bars, Discos, Restaurants sowie Casas Particulares in erreichbarer Nähe wettgemacht.
Steiniger Meeresboden.

  Popular beach with minor flaws, approx. 15 minutes by car from Santiago. Missing palms are compensated by the lively hustle and bustle locals, bars, discos, restaurants and Casas Particulares in accessible area.

Playa Maria la Gorda :

  Der Strand ist ca. 8 km lang und befindet sich an der Südküste am westlichen Bereich Kubas (Provinz Pinar del Rio), 300 km westlich von Havanna. Dieser Strand mit seinem breiten Saum of feinem weissen Sand und ausgeprägter Küstenvegetation gehört unter Insidern zu dem schönsten der Insel. Man kann ihn per Taxi oder Mietauto erreichen, ein Taxi kostet ca. 20....40 CUC. Alternativ kann man mit dem Zug von Pinar del Rio bis Guane fahren und dann den Bus bis Sandino nehmen und von dort aus weiter bis zum Strand.

  María la Gorda Beach, listed as a reserve of the biosphere by UNESCO, is located on the southern coast of the western end of Cuba (Pnar del Rio province), 300 kilometers west of Havana. It is a beautiful beach of some 8 km length with a wide fringe of white sands bathed by the Caribbean Sea and with extensive areas of coastal vegetation. One can go to María la Gorda either by taxi or renting a car. A taxi ride can range from CUC 20.00 to CUC 40.00 the round trip. You can also go by train from the city of Pinar del Río to Guane, and there take a bus to Sandino and then a taxi to the beach.
