Klassische Architektur
Classic architecture
From Spanish Baroque to the purest Art Deco, all styles are present in the buildings of the country.
The Spanish colonial architecture is influenced by the Moorish culture of Andalusia. Typical of the so-called Mudejar style are the arcades, which often shade entire streets and the patio, a mostly lushly planted courtyard.
While early colonial buildings were still under Spanish and Moorish influence, beautiful Art Nouveau villas with magnificent Tiffany windows and Art Deco buildings were built in the first half of the last century.
